DUBAI - The Dubai office of the architectural firm RMJM has announced the appointment of leading structural engineer Raymond Crane as their new Managing Director of Engineering.
Raymond Crane has worked on major building projects around the world with particular experience in tall structures and those with a major urban impact. His periods living and working in New York, Hong Kong, the Middle East and Asia have given him an appreciation of the benefits of diversity, looking beyond conventional boundaries and developing new project delivery methods.
Raymond joins RMJM from the Abu Dhabi office of Arup where he played a lead role in the structure of landmark projects such as the Dubai Towers in Dubai, Kingdom Center in Riyadh, the Al Mashtal Development in Abu Dhabi, and now with RMJM, the ADNEC Capital Gate project in Abu Dhabi.
RMJM Dubai's engineering team boasts nearly four decades of hands-on experience and an unrivalled portfolio of iconic projects. The local office now employs over 170 highly skilled professionals in structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines and specialist services in advanced geometric analysis, environmental engineering, and a unique integrated project delivery strategy.
Raymond's appointment into the practice will bring his unprecedented local and international experience to the regional office; further adding to the wealth of specialists RMJM Dubai have invested so heavily in over the past few years. His focus will be to encourage the team to push the limits of design, and develop a more culturally diverse workforce to match the needs of clients across the region.
