one of the region's premier project management companies and the first Qatari firm in the field - was last night awarded one of the world's most prestigious business accolades: 'The Bizz 2012'.The award, presented by WORLDCOB (The World Confederation of Businesses), is recognition that QPM has attained an international level of business excellence. It is awarded to businesses and businesspeople that stand out in their respective markets.QPM received the accolade at an evening ceremony at Doha's Sharq Village and Spa. The event - 'The Bizz Arabic 2012' - is one of three global awards ceremonies taking place this year organized by WORLDCOB. The others are 'The Bizz Europe 2012' and 'The Bizz Americas 2012', which underline the international nature of the accolade.Fifty companies and individuals were honored at the Sharq Village and Spa gathering, with 200 VIPs and guests in attendance. The high-profile nature of the event is further evidenced by the level of international press coverage expected in the wake of the event.

WORLDCOB, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a leading international organization that encourages worldwide business development. It has more than 3,000 Associate Members in over 65 countries.

Winners of The Bizz award are identified by WORLDCOB's research team that compiles data from around the world on outstanding businesses. QPM, from a standing start and in just a few years has evolved into one such business, with an enviable track record of success at local and international level. The number of milestone achievements the company has reached in such a short time has led to its selection as a Bizz 2102 winner. Previous winners of The Bizz award include Coca-Cola, Toyota, Lufthansa and HSBC.

In addition to the headline Bizz 2012 award, a number of QPM associates were among those who received individual awards. Yahya Al Naemi was a three-time winner, receiving the 'World Business Leader Certificate' award, and honorary awards for both Excellence in Business Leadership and Excellence in Business Management. Halim Karam and Naser Al Rafie joined Mr Al Naemi in receipt of the Excellence in Business Leadership award, with Mr Karam also picking up an honorary Excellence in Marketing Management accolade.  Mr Al Rafie completed a rewarding evening for QPM in picking up the honorary award for Excellence in Quality Management.

QPM's Chief Executive Officer, Fahad Rashid Mohamed Ajlan Al-Kaabi, said: "We're delighted to receive such a prestigious accolade.
