Olay Total Effects Is Back in Stock Across the Region

- Hundreds of calls weekly kept the Olay hotline busy during the two-month shortage as women sought information on where to find Olay Total Effects products -

Dubai, UAE, September 23, 2004 - The complete Olay Total Effects range is now back in stock and available at major supermarkets and hypermarkets across the region after unexpectedly high demand for the recently launched anti-aging products caused a two-month shortage in the region.

Olay executives were caught unaware in June by news that shops were unable to keep the Olay Total Effects range in stock because of strong consumer demand. In response to the situation, Olay set up a hotline to help guide women to stores in their area that still had product on the shelves. The hotline served hundreds of women every week who were anxious to locate and purchase the product.

"We at Olay are pleased to announce that the region-wide shortage of Olay Total Effects has been resolved and consumers can be confident of finding the full range of products designed to prevent the seven signs of aging at all major supermarkets," said Mohammed Jifri, Olay Brand Manager in the Arabian Peninsula.

"We apologize to all of our customers regarding the difficulty in finding product. The market response was simply tremendous and left us in a situation where demand nearly depleted our supplies in the region. We are very pleased with the effectiveness of the hotline, which allowed us to keep the lines of communication open with our customers," Jifri added.

"Looking with hindsight, it is perhaps no surprise that the product was in such demand following its launch. In several other regions, including Australia, where the Olay Total Effects range was launched, customer demand also emptied shelves," Jifri said.

Olay Total Effects helps women look younger in seven ways: by diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing skin texture, evening skin tone, removing surface dullness, minimizing the appearance of pores, visibly reducing the appearance of blotches and age spots and smoothing dry skin.

All seven products in the Olay Total Effects range contain the unique VitaNiacin moisturizing complex with Vitamin E, Provitamin B5 and Niacinamid (Vitamin B3), a combination that helps the skin exfoliate more effectively and promotes skin beauty.
