New strategic alliance will expand NEC's presence and strengthen ties in the region

16 February 2006, Doha Qatar: interFRONTIERS, NEC Computers' Business Development partner in Mediterranean, Middle East and (English speaking) Africa, has announced a strategic alliance between NEC Computers and one of Qatar's key business establishments, Al Muftah Trading and Contracting Company. The alliance was announced at a special launch event hosted by Al Muftah in Qatar at the end of January 2006 and attended by local channel partners, key members of Qatar's Government sector along with representatives of major corporate organisations including the Oil and Gas Sector and financial organizations.

Yerolemos Yerolemous, interFRONTIERS' Business Development Manager, and Pantelis Verginadis, interFRONTIERS' Technical Sales Consultant, attended the launch event on behalf of NEC Computers.

"The year 2005 has seen a steady growth of NEC Computers products and services in the Middle East, especially in the GCC countries," said Yerolemou. "Al Muftah, as one of the principal distributors in Qatar is further strengthening NEC Computers' position in this region."

The new alliance with Al Muftah Group aims at further strengthening ties with regional distributors and clients. The announcement also included the opening of the first service center in Qatar.
