Dubai, UAE: The Middle East’s Largest Job Site, Bayt.com, just reported that close to 50,000 new jobs were made available on the site between July and September 2018. In its quarterly job announcements report, Bayt.com revealed an upward trend in online job availability. In comparison to the second quarter of 2018, a massive spike of 35% has been witnessed, showcasing a healthy job market and a strong hiring activity level across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Last month, the Middle East Job Index Survey reported that 9 in 10 employers are planning to hire. The region’s hiring index has increased by 12 points pointing to a significant growth in hiring activity when compared to 2017. This explains the very busy job posting activity on Bayt.com.
“So far this year, around 140,000 jobs were announced on Bayt.com, which is about how many jobs were announced during 2017 in total,” said Omar Tahboub, General Manager of Bayt.com. “We can be certain that 2018 will be a very successful year in terms of job availability and talent matchmaking on Bayt.com. We are proud to have partnered with tens of thousands of employers and governments and that we continue to work closely with various organizations and institutions that aim to secure career opportunities for more and more of the region’s job seekers and professionals.
Besides making public job announcements, companies continue to search for candidates CVs and to contact them for unadvertised vacancies. Earlier this month, Bayt.com’s database surpassed 34,000,000 members who regularly engage in job seeking and career planning activities. With half a million daily visits, Bayt.com has become one of the most trafficked sites regionally and globally.
Tahboub adds: “Because millions of professionals rely on our site and tools for their careers, we never stop advancing our technologies and exploring new ones. We rolled out a series of AI-powered features that recommend highly personalized jobs and opportunities for our members. We also powered our CV Search technology with ontology backed by AI to enhance candidate search and selection precision. With these strides and the growing hiring activity we look ahead to a very promising end of year and a stronger one around the corner.”
