Dubai, 16 November 2004: The opening of the BurJuman Centre extension in September has paved the way for more renowned world-class brands to enter the retail market in Dubai for the first time, bringing with them the best of haute couture fashion and international lifestyle offerings to this region.
Of the more than 100 world-class brands that are being represented at the BurJuman extension, a significant number are choosing to be based exclusively at the mall. The current and growing brand portfolio at the mall is a "who's who" of leading luxury brands, when you consider the international standing of Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Vertu, Hermes, Christian Lacroix, Chanel, Valentino, Prada, Kenneth Cole, D&G, Fendi, Celine, Salvatore Ferragamo, Just Cavalli, Chaumet and Loewe. Saks Fifth Avenue is anchoring the re-developed mall with its attractive two-level store occupying an area of 85,000 sq ft.
Other luxury brands based at BurJuman include Hugo Boss, House of Ferre, Fendi, Alfred Dunhill, CK Jeans, Villeroy & Boch, Van Cleef & Arpels, Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, Baume & Mercier, Mont Blanc, Armand Bassi, Laura Ashley, Porsche Design, Burberry, Etro, Max & Co., DKNY, Donna Karan, Cartier, Escada, Bally, Stuart Weitzman/Moreschi, Virgin, Tod's and Paul Smith, Polo Ralph Lauren, Zara and Massimo Dutti.
By increasing the number of outlets from 190 to over 300 with the opening of the extension, BurJuman has undergone a dramatic transformation to become the most significant destination in the region.
And to mark the opening, shoppers spending Dhs 100 are being offered a gift in appreciation of their support to the mall. The gift can be collected from the mall's Information Counters.

The extension, which is part of the Dhs. 1.4 billion BurJuman expansion project, has almost trebled the size of the existing shopping area. The entire project will have an area of 4.4 million square feet. A 22-storey office tower that is being built as part of the expansion will include state-of-the-art offices, a hi-tech business centre, a 20,000 sq ft exclusive conference hall, Internet facilities, cafes, a fully equipped gymnasium and other sports facilities while a residential complex will comprise 163 luxury furnished and semi furnished apartments in addition to a block of serviced luxury apartments.
