Dubai, 22 April 2013 Mercer - global consulting leader in talent, health, retirement and investments - in partnership with the Institute for International Research Middle East (IIRME), will be exclusively presenting the key findings of its latest survey on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Programs, Policies and Practices in the region at the 10th CSR Summit held on May 21, 2013 at The Address Hotel Dubai Marina.

This unique survey will address a growing drive to incorporate CSR and sustainability practices in organisations in the Middle East and Turkey. More and more companies are adopting CSR plans and programs that include a wide range of workplace issues.  As CSR runs deeper than a general statement, companies are understanding that its programs need to be aligned with the company's mission and vision statements, and closely related to the organisation's core business. The survey and in turn the session will open the discussion for elevating the stature of CSR in the region.

Taking place over a period from April to May, 2013, the results will be ready for sharing at the conference organised by IIRME on the very same topic. The session will also provide a platform for benchmarking local practices to the global findings from the survey.

Key speakers at the summit will be Cameron Hannah, Senior Partner and Market Leader, India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa and Cindy Arkin, Regional Knowledge and Marketing Coordinator, India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

With more companies engaging on some level in terms of CSR and sustainability, the session aims to uncover the main drivers of this growth in the Middle East and Turkey, identify current and future initiatives and challenges faced by companies, understand the structure of the CSR function and its role in the organisation and discuss the influence of CSR and sustainability initiatives on employee engagement and health.

The survey is open to companies conducting or who are planning on conducting  CSR and Sustainability programs in the near future.  The survey has seen high interest from companies in Saudi Arabia and UAE, in industries such as Energy, Telecommunication, Media and Trade. Alongside CSR and Sustainability Executives and Professionals, those in Human Resources, Communications and Public Relations who lead CSR and Sustainability program participate in the survey.

The survey is open until May 1st, 2013. To participate, please visit www.me.mercer.com to access the survey link.
