Dubai, UAE - 9 February, 2012: HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has received at his office a delegation from Alstom headed by Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO.
His Excellency welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of the meeting to promote strategic collaboration between DEWA and Alstom.
The delegation briefed His Excellency about the services delivered by Alstom and explored its technical capabilities, showing interest in DEWA's projects, especially projects on power production, transmission and main Substations. DEWA pursues development projects in all its activities to enhance and update the capacity of its infrastructure to be in line with Dubai Strategic Plan and in accordance with its aspirations to promote transmission grids to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and reliability of services.
Alstom is a global pioneer in the field of establishing integrated power stations as it has comprehensive solutions for power production. Alstom sees the UAE market as one of the most important and developing global markets.
The delegation finished by thanking His Excellency for providing this opportunity to closely look at DEWA's projects and activities.
