Bidders can opt for attractive VIP sticker numbers for parking right in front of Global Village main gate
The Global Village is holding an auction for a limited edition of unique parking stickers for the VIP parking lot. Bidding for the unique parking stickers, which are in categories A, B, C, D, and E and are numbered from 1 to 10 will start at Dh500.
Explaining the bidding process, Laila Al Jassim, Manager Operations for the Global Village said, "Buyers can bid by adding Dh100 or its multiple, for example, if a person wants to buy sticker number A-001 and the bidding is at Dh600 then they will have to either add an additional Dh100, Dh200, Dh300 and so forth. The bidding price will depend on the demand for a particular number."
The bidding started on November 26 and will continue until December 10. Those interested can call Ahlan Dubai at 60054555 to bid for their favourite number.
According to Laila the unique parking stickers offer visitors a chance to park their vehicles in the premium parking spaces in front of the Global Village main gate. Buyers will also get 30 complimentary entry tickets to the Village with every parking sticker they buy.
In addition to the parking stickers also available are passes for the VIP parking spaces. "These are again in five categories namely A, B, C, D and E and the numbers range from 11 to 500. These passes are priced at Dh500 and come with 30 complimentary entry tickets for the buyer. Interested buyers should call 04-3624000 to book their passes," said Laila.
Seeing the great demand for the first 10 numbers of VIP parking passes the idea of auctioning them was born. "The Global Village this time round will indeed be a special experience and we are expecting a huge visitor turnout which will easily run into millions. Hence the great demand for VIP parking passes," she said.
Laila pointed out that more than 39 countries are taking part in the Global Village which will run for 59 days from December 13 until February 9. To be held under the slogan 'Redefines the World', it promises a plethora of spectacular events and activities such as dances, carnivals, visual shows, raffles, exotic cuisine and the world at the same place.
