Dubai, United Arab Emirates: March 6, 2014 - The LearnPad Group, the world's leading provider of classroom tablet solutions for education, announced at GESS 2014 its arrival in the MENA region.

GESS is the Middle East's premiere educational exhibition, providing a platform for educationalists across the Middle East to meet and discuss education and its future. The event attracts more than 300 companies from over 35 countries and 7000 educational professionals.  2014 also sees the arrival of the GESS Education Awards (GEA), which will highlight and reward the quality and diversity of educational products, resources, services and people, as well as the best educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession.

LearnPad'smultiple award-winning classroom tablet solutions have been widely adopted in the United Kingdom, the United States and most recently, Latin America.

Huw Williams, Marketing Director for LearnPad,commented: "Establishing a presence in the Gulf sponsorship of the inaugural GESS Education Awards seemed to be a natural fit for LearnPad. We are looking forward to engaging with our Middle East and North African (MENA) partners as well as identify local content providers. Children everywhere deserve the chance to benefit from the educationally aligned 21st century tools we offer at LearnPad.  With a personalized approach to each child's unique learning requirements, LearnPad has been effectively implemented within schools across the world.  We are excited to take the necessary steps towards bringing our educationally proven solution to schools throughout MENA."

"Technology should enhance education, not complicate it" added Ken Leonard, Chairman and CEO of the LearnPad Group. He continued: "We have seen schools across the world begin to move quickly to bring tablets into everyday instruction. The potential for learning is incredible, but unfortunately, we see too many schools needlessly struggle with these decisions. Bringing new technologies into the classroom requires working from a position of understanding. Companies must be able to provide the necessary tools and services that respect the important instructional activities going on in the classroom and help raise achievement outcomes."

LearnPad recently completed a full translation in-line with local instructional standards in Latin America in order to ensure teachers and children of that regionspeaking Spanish as their first language gain proper benefit from the educationally aligned tablet solution. Together with high quality, learning content sourced and prevalent within Latin America, LearnPad's localized solution is proving highly effective in schools from Mexico to Columbia.

Leonard adds: "We have profound respect for the curriculum requirements, cultural and language preferences with each of our LearnPad projects around the world, supporting childrens' right to learn.  I am very excited to travel to GESS and see how LearnPad can move quickly to identify the very best partners across these important disciplines to work together to offer a proper localized solution to assist teachers and students in the region."
