Jacques R. Saadé has inaugurated, on August 27th, at the headquarters of CMA CGM in Beirut, the "CMA CGM Reefer Desk", in the presence of a big number of Lebanese producers and exporters of fruits and vegetables, among which Mr. Naïm Khalil, President of the Union of exporters and importers. This new service of the Group aims at helping the exporters to develop new opportunities for export of Lebanese products.

The CMA CGM Reefer Desk is a new service offered free of charge to fruit and vegetable producers. Through this service, the CMA CGM teams assist producers in their sales efforts to find new export outlets, and to identify potential buyers for their products. In so doing, they rely on the strength of the CMA CGM sales network, encompassing 650 agencies in more than 170 countries worldwide.

Top CMA CGM experts in Reefer transport were invited to this event by Jacques R. Saadé to provide producers and exporters with the knowledge to guarantee the perfect conservation and all the flavor of Lebanese fruits and vegetables during transport.

In addition to the CMA CGM Reefer, Jacques R. Saadé announced his intention to go further in sharing the CMA CGM Group expertise, working on the creation of a technical training center dedicated to the transport of refrigerated products.

This inauguration followed the successful event which brought together many political and economic figures as well as the largest producers of fruits and vegetables on August 10th, during which the Group inaugurated its new calls in Beirut.

The increased frequency of CMA CGM ships calls, the opening of Lebanese exports  to a growing number of markets, and the development of an export offer of refrigerated  products ensuring the quality of Lebanese  fruits and vegetables during their transport, are all actions that actively contribute to the economic and social development of Lebanon.
