to coincide with Gitex 2008, Dubai Convention Centre, 19-23 October
Dubai, GITEX Technology Week, October 22,2008 - ITWorx, one of the Middle East's leading software professional services firms and a global leader in e-Learning solutions based on the Microsoft Learning Gateway (MLG), has today announced the launch of its newest version of Education CatalystTM for schools and higher-education.
Catalyst is a pioneering product suite equipped with advanced tools that have been specifically designed to enable academic institutions to create their own websites, user data, user groups, and site memberships. Catalyst automates the laborious user provisioning and institution deployment processes, resulting in time and effort reduction. It also helps administrators to better manage daily tasks and customize profiles to their preference.
A new product has been added to the suite, Catalyst™ Management Information Systems (MIS) Integrator, which automatically integrates and synchronizes all data collected and managed by Catalyst systems between the institution and district sides. The MIS Integrator saves time, eliminates redundancy, and allows academic institutions to enjoy accurate, reliable, and secure data.
ITWorx will also showcase its e-assessment product at Gitex, ITWorx ExamExpertTM, which facilitates the process of evaluating students while providing significant feedback to students, teachers, and parents. The ExamExpert offers education institutions an easier way to construct, schedule, deliver, and evaluate exams.
Hafez Hamdy, Marketing Director for ITWorx, comments: "e-Learning solutions are increasingly becoming part of mainstream education: students benefit from accelerated learning, teachers collaborate better with their colleagues, and parents are able to monitor the progress of their children and communicate directly with staff, giving academic institutions, particularly schools, a far more central role in family life.
"The ITWorx Education Catalyst product suite is intuitive, user-friendly and demonstrates endless benefits to academic institutions; furthermore its ease and speed of deployment has so far encouraged many schools within the Middle East, and even internationally, to adopt e-learning solutions."
ITWorx has had an impressive response, both on a local and global scale, from institutions selecting ITWorx Education offerings for their schools. In Qatar, ictQatar has leveraged the offering in 12 independent schools. In the United Arab Emirates, ITWorx is currently engaging with 50 schools in the Ministry of Education. Internationally, 25 schools in County Durham, England, are reaping the many benefits of ITWorx Education offerings and tools, and extending into an additional 60 schools.
