The UAE internal Audit Association - a not for profit Association founded by a Ministerial Decree 401 in 2008 by the Ministry of Social Affairs - has announced today during the press conference; the launch of the new initiative "HASAAD" and also revealed the Agenda for the upcoming 16th Annual Regional Audit Conference

Quality has become a strategic goal attracting the attention of all business sectors, and it has become a vital part of any organizations' values. Those organizations seeking to apply quality as an approach to grow, will continue to flourish and grow on their successes.

Simultaneously, the internal audit career goes beyond financial auditing, reaching to strategic and operational levels. Which makes the Internal Audit Role contributing to evaluate the quality and efficiency of processes.

Grounded by these new concepts, the "UAE Internal Audit Association (UAE IAA) - Launched several activities and initiatives, aiming to enhance the Internal Audit importance and value in the region, and today they are presenting "HASAAD" and the 16th Annual Regional Audit Conference.

"HASAAD" Program, is the first of its kind not only in the region but in the world, and aims to train Emirati fresh graduates in both the private and public sector. "HASAAD" program is in line with "Absher" project, launched by HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Focusing on Internal Audit fundamentals and practices, "HASAAD" is developing the individuals' skills and knowledge dealing with audited organizations, and enlightens those organizations of the audited elements.

Because of the vast exposure of the Higher Colleges of Technology, and their network of 17 campuses, throughout the UAE, the UAE IAA joined hands with them and signed an MOU to deliver the program.

During the press conference, Mr. AbdulQader Obaid Ali - President of UAE Internal Audit Association (UAE IAA which has affiliation with the institute of the Internal Auditors in USA - stated: The government business sectors are constantly growing and developing, which has created the need to launch "HASAAD" Program, reflecting the UAE IAA vision and goals contributing with the Emirates Youth career and knowledge development and supporting Emiratization within internal audit sector in United Arab Emirates

Dr. Ayesha Abdulla "Chief Executive Officer at CERT and the Executive Dean of Business in the HCT", added: "The vision of "HASAAD" program is to become an Internal Audit Training academy for Emiratis in United Arab Emirates, through enhancing their expertise, supporting their career, and preparing them to handle more duties within their respective organizations in the UAE".

"HASAAD" Program touches several subjects, such as: an introduction to Internal Audit, international internal audit practices, Governmental internal audit, Risk Management, Business transactions, Internal controls, Information technology risks and controls, illegal practices, internal Audit Management, in addition to reporting, communication and internal controls consulting.

"HASAAD" Program is scheduled to kick off on 03/03/2015, lasting for 3 months, covering 333 hours. Participants to "HASAAD" Program will be rewarded with an Internal Audit Certificate. Prospective candidates to "HASAAD" Programs are required to submit their applications with all required supporting documentation as listed in the "HASAAD" application form. The 16th Annual Regional Audit Conference

In line with its goals to enhance the internal audit practices in United Arab Emirates - the Internal Audit Association also revealed the agenda of The 16th Annual Regional Audit Conference, the largest "smart" conference in the Middle East related to internal audit 

"Innovate Your Future Now" is the slogan of the 16th Annual Regional Audit Conference, planned to launch on 9-10 March 2015 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), with the participation of several local and regional organizations

Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Abbar - one of the top 100 VIPs in the Arab world will be the key spokesperson during the conference, along with several elite instructors who will be participating from other countries, in the region. 

 Sunday the 8th of March is dedicated to pre-conference workshops and they will cover the following topics:

Leadership and Quality - Information and Communication Technology - Governance, Risk and Compliance - Fraud - Different world, same perspective, Internal Audit creativity.

The 16th  Annual Regional Audit Conference is one of the major events in the region, being the largest Internal Audit conference held in the Middle East, showcasing Internal Audit - Fraud - internal audit updates and challenges: locally, regionally, and internationally.

The Internal Audit Association aims to enhance the knowledge and concept of: Governance, Risk and Compliance, therefore the association is keen to hold these conferences, that add value to the Internal Audit practices and knowledge in the United Arab Emirates, reaching its global best practices, said Mr. Abdulqader Obaid - President of Internal Audit Association in the UAE

About Internal Audit Association in UAE:
The UAE Internal Audit Association (IAA) was set up in July 1995, as a non-profit organization along the lines of its parent body with the support and co-operation of many local and multinational companies in UAE. On the 24th of June 2006, IIA Dubai sought and gained approval to become the official IIA affiliate in the UAE.
