Huawei Technologies Egypt, the leading global ICT solution provider and Orange Egypt, one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators recently held a summit under the theme “Together We Can” as part of Orange’s award being the fastest network at Smart Village Club’s Lake Terrace. The summit discussed the profound technological transformation that is currently sweeping the world and impacting work and lives and it showcased the strong and rooted cooperation between Orange and Huawei Egypt.
The summit was attended by executives from Orange’s side topped with Mr. Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Egypt, Mr. Ayman Amiri – CTO of Orange Egypt, Mr. Ahmed Elabd, CMO of Orange Egypt, and Mr. Hisham Mahran – CBO of Orange Egypt. As for Huawei’s side, Mr. Steven Yi, Huawei President of the Middle East & North Africa Region, Mr. Vincent Sun, CEO of Huawei Egypt, Mr. Wind Li, Huawei President of Orange Group Account, Mr. Benjamin - President of Huawei Northern Africa Carrier Business Dept attended the summit.
Additionally, the summit discussed 4G user enlargement by LTE 900MHz deployment, continued Home 4G service by vertical capacity expansion solution, VoLTE service launch, and 5G Ready.
During the summit, executives of both parties expressed their appreciation about their strategic partnership that has been for 20 years and highlighted their keenness to expand their cooperation in various areas. Huawei promised that they will provide all the support possible and solutions to achieve continuous leadership in both short and long terms.
From Huawei’s side, Mr. Steven Yi, Huawei President of the Middle East & North Africa Region congratulated Orange Egypt on the great achievements topped with being fastest network and thanked them for being a promising partner that is keen on providing the best user experience for the Egyptian customers owing to the support of Huawei Technologies.

Furthermore, Mr. Ayman Amiri, CTO of Orange Egypt emphasized that Orange is proud of its achievements for being Awarded Speedtest Ookla award and been ranked first in network speed for more than an year as per the NTRA reports. We are aiming to achieve the optimal user experience in all aspects including and not limited to quality and user experience. He also stressed that Orange Egypt will continue the No.1 leadership in speed with the continued cooperation of both parties.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei Technologies signed a partnership agreement with Orange Egypt with the aim of providing the necessary infrastructure to avail services, especially Cloud IaaS services. The new cloud computing services are provided through a subscription-based system, and grants Orange corporate clients a simple, flexible, secure, and comprehensive cloud computing solution, allowing them to benefit from cloud infrastructure and manage data centers virtually, supported by effective protection according to the latest security upgrades.
