Cairo, Egypt, April 11th, 2013: Huawei and Etisalat Misr have announced a deal that will see the China-based vendor provide the Egyptian operator with its latest BTS3900 radio base station technology.
The move is part of an agreement to help transform Etisalat Misr's radio network, in a bid to improve the quality and speed of its services.

BTS3900 design is based on the Green concept featuring highly reduced power consumption and allowing cost-effective operations. Besides, it enables Etisalat to meet the demands of its growing subscriber base with faster mobile internet connectivity and improved mobile coverage throughout the country. It will also make it easier for the company to switch to new technologies and develop new high-speed broadband services such as 4G LTE in the future.
Etisalat Misr and Huawei have a long-term relationship, which is based on a common commitment to enhance the telecommunication experience for customers in Egypt. Meanwhile, during his visit to MWC in Barcelona, Etisalat Misr CEO, Mr. Saeed Al Hamli, expressed his interest in Huawei products and advanced solutions such as VGS (Value Growth Solution) and B2B (Business to Business) concepts believing that it will play an important role in the future of cooperation between the two partners.
