Abu Dhabi: The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), announced that it has successfully completed its preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. As part of these preparations, the municipalities of Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain city, and Al Dhafra Region, have adorned the streets, public squares, and bridges throughout the emirate with more than (5147) illuminated shapes and decorative imageries, creating a truly festive atmosphere.

DMT placed significant emphasis on the adoption of high-quality electrical connections that can withstand all climatic conditions to ensure the safety of residents and public infrastructure.

The decorations reflect the DMT’s commitment to enhancing the emirate's quality of life and bringing joy to its residents. Additionally, the department extended Ramadan greetings to the community while reminding everyone of their societal responsibility to sustain the public appearance during the holy month.

The Department of Municipalities and Transport was established by Law No. 30 of 2019, and its main priorities are to realize the vision of H.H. The DMT also ensures the highest standards of safety, security, sustainability and technological development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi's land, air and maritime transport networks, in accordance with the highest international standards and the UAE's legislation with the objective of being the region’s connection to the world.
