Dubai: Fleet Management Systems International (FMSi), a leading regional provider of fleet management solutions, has become the sole GCC distributor for Sens-Tech’s Kimax on-board weighing system.  As part of their commitment to provide a full-service fleet management solution, FMSi has decided to add the on-board weighing system as part of their portfolio.

As the economies in the GCC grow and diversity, the governments are keen on ensuring their safety standards are not only at par but far exceed global standards. In that regard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently announced a new regulation whereby every heavy vehicle needs to be fitted with an on-board weighing system.

The Kimax product, which is manufactured by the Danish company Sens-tech, has an extremely simple design but does not compromise in its’ accuracy but promising to provide 99% accuracy in its’ measurements. The system works on the principle of that the strain gauge pasted on the axle sensor. The low-level signal from the axle sensor is amplified and filtered by the high precision monolithic A/D converter and converted into Digital format. The digitized data is being further processed and store according to the customer need and application
