Dubai: Ferns N Petals, the UAE’s leading online gifting portal, has witnessed unprecedented sales and revenue growth since it first began operations in 2015 - and is now eyeing up further expansion as it looks to develop its regional presence.
With existing delivery service across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Ferns N Petals has created a niche for itself in the UAE’s online market. As a part of its key expansion plan, FNP has opened a new retail store in Sharjah. The expansion in Sharjah will help customers choose from the wide range of gifting options and avail the satisfaction of taking them home right away.
Setting a benchmark for gifting portals across the globe, Ferns N Petals reported a growth rate of 100 per cent in 2020 compared to same period last year with an increase of 15 per cent alone in the last quarter.

“An interesting aspect of the Middle East region is the warm hospitality inherent in its culture. “It was therefore not a surprise to us when - during our research - we found that Dubai is one of the highest consumers of flowers per capita. It was a natural progression for us to foray further in the region.”
To further consolidate its reach across the Middle East region, the online gifting platform has set its sights to open more branches across the region - with its next branch to open in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the first quarter of 2021. The move comes after the company had acquired a multifunctional warehouse to accommodate its own kitchen and a baking centre.
“From our first branch in Dubai, we have now expanded to two additional logistics centers in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi and have just acquired a multi-purpose space in Al Quoz as our operation center,” says Rajesh Kumar, Business Head, Ferns N Petals in the UAE. “As we expand further into the region, having Dubai as a centralized branch for the GCC has proven immensely beneficial, particularly because of the ideal global geographical position, the versatility of the consumers in the city and the need for having convenient solutions at their fingertips.”

Ferns N Petals is on a mission to expand its operations across the region and is aiding the local economy by hiring an army of local bakers, florists, gardeners, and artists from the local country. In the UAE alone, the number of staff under the company has increased from one employee to 70 in the last five years with a further increase of 40 per cent anticipated in the coming months to power its expansion plans.
The gifting portal currently promises same delivery of cakes, chocolates, floral arrangements, and gifts across the country.
