The number of business activities in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman registered with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion during the third quarter of 2021 reached 6,260 activities.

The Information, Data and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion indicated that the movement of business activities during the third quarter of 2021 were concentrated in the Governorate of Muscat, accounting for 40.69% of the total volume of business activity in Oman, reported Oman News Agency (ONA).

It was followed by the Governorate of Dhofar by 19.57%, the Governorate of North Al Batinah by 12.76%, and the remaining percentage was distributed among the rest of the governorates according to the volume of the business activity.

The ministry indicated that the number of business activities registered in the Governorate of Muscat during the third quarter of last year reached 2,547. As many as 1,225 activities were registered in the Governorate of Dhofar, 799 in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, and 494 in the Governorate of South Al Batinah.

In the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah, 343 activities were registered, 271 in South A’Sharqiyah, 204 in the Governorate of North A’Sharqiyah, 191 in the Governorate of A’Dhahirah, 102 in the Governorate of Al Buraimi, 59 in the Governorate of Al Wusta and 25 in the Governorate of Musandam.
