Muscat: The Omani - Lebanese Business Forum has been organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), to discuss available opportunities, enhance investment and trade exchange between the two countries

The forum is being held on the sidelines of the visit of a Lebanese trade delegation to the Sultanate.

His Excellency Eng. Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the Chamber, in its capacity as a representative of the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman, will follow up on developing and improving economic and trade relations with the Lebanese private sector.

The forum included the presentation of two working papers, the first presented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, entitled "Invest in Oman", in which it reviewed the competitive business environment in the Sultanate of Oman that promotes growth and economic diversification and enables the private sector.

The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ), presented the second working paper, in which it reviewed the total advantages and facilities offered by the special and free economic zones to investors.In addition to the investment opportunities, incentives, facilities and competitive and investment advantages offered by Sohar, Salalah, Al Mazyona and the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
