Ericsson presented today a training seminar titled "The Networked Society" to Egyptian media representatives as part of its "Networked Society" media training roadshow across the region.
The seminar aimed to highlight the fast transformation of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry and shared knowledge around how mobility, broadband and the cloud are the key drivers of this transformation. The seminar also revealed Ericsson's latest Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility report highlighting the company's efforts to spread communications around the world in order to empower people, business and society.
Isil Yalcin, Ericsson's President of North East Africa hosted the event and expressed her sincere gratitude to representatives of the Egyptian media for being the company's loyal partners throughout the years. " We believe that, being the leaders in the ICT industry, we have a responsibility to conduct such seminars. We consider this seminar as a great opportunity to learn and share knowledge with media representatives in Egypt about how the ICT industry is being transformed to reach out to the Networked Society in the country."
Key Ericsson's speakers at the event were Waleed Khodeir, Director of Mobile Broadband, Ericsson, North East Africa who delivered the technical part of the seminar, focusing on key ICT topics such as Mobile Broadband, LTE and the Media Transformation. Joining Waleed on Stage, Fida Kibbi, Head of External Communications, Ericsson, Region Middle East and East Africa, presented the company's vision and highlighted key messages from Ericsson's latest Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility report.
The event was part of a roadshow that Ericsson is holding across the region to give the local media the opportunity to discover the transformation to the Networked Society in Region Middle East. Therefore, Ericsson started this roadshow in April 2014 in Kuwait and today it is being held in Egypt and the next stop over will be in Jordan and other countries around the region.
