Aiming at Improving Performance and Quality of Services

In accordance with the training strategy applied by Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat", training courses have been recently organized for the employees, aiming at the simplification of work procedures, in cooperation with HEIMC Corporation.

Dr. Mohammad BuQufell, Manager, Career Development in "Emarat", said that, in the light of the huge development in communication means and information transfer, the management process had become a complicated and entangled process and the manager and those working with him are considered responsible for conducting different tasks. Accordingly, the manager and his team are in need of modern methods to simplify the administrative procedures and to prevent wasting time, effort and tools used in daily business. Dr. BuQufell explained that the simplification of the procedures includes a series of actions which should be followed in order to achieve the best performance of the business, as it shall be the easiest, most correct and can achieve the least waste of time, effort and economical method. In addition, the simplification strategy shall be based on an analytical approach to the work procedures which are followed.

Dr. BuQufell added that the process of simplifying procedures passes in five main phases. The phases include choosing the tasks which should be simplified, registering the field recent status, analyzing and evaluating the recent status, suggesting the appropriate plan to simplify the procedures and following up the plan's results and developing the same.  

Accordingly, Dr. BuQufell explained that the objects of the course have been determined by recognizing the concept and importance of simplifying business procedures including the procedures of transactions, the way of processing the business, distributing business, recognizing the tools and methods that shall be used in simplifying procedures and making full analysis for the place, used tools, workforce and the procedures of processing business. In addition, Dr. BuQufell described and provided the recommendations concerning simplifying business procedures.

In addition, the objects included improving the abilities and skills of the employees and providing them with a method to identify the phases, actions followed to simplify procedures, the tools that should be used,  and methods of organization and cooperation that can help in saving time, effort and cost effectively in order to enhance and maintain the Corporation's standards of quality.
