Increasing automation boosts demand for automatic aluminium extrusion machinery

The demand for automatic packaging machines is rising with the increasing level of automation in the region's manufacturing sector, according to an official of Emmebi of Italy, which is participating in the Aluminium Middle East 2015 exhibition in Dubai.

The company has installed seven plants in the UAE for its various clients and about 25 plants have been in operation in the Gulf countries, according to Tommy Gallimberti, Senior Sales Manager of Emmebi.

The extrusion plants are mainly for supplying products to the construction industry, followed by the automotive and aerospace industries. The company provides a wide variety of automatic packaging machines and integrated systems for aluminium profiles.

"We understand the needs of the customers and can customize the plants according to their requirements," he  said. "They are high quality packaging plants with major investments in technology and highly skilled staff, for the medium-upper market segment.

He said the offered products are the result of our customers' requirements, whose cooperation, far from being simply a commercial relationship, implies mutual trust and involvement over what their basic needs are, their production capacity and the solutions that Emmebi can propose.

"Several solutions are available, ranging from the stand alone machine to the more complex line fit to meet considerable output capacities. The kinds of packaging are multifarious, including spiral wrapping, adhesive tape application or envelope formation," he said.

Organized by Reed Exhibitions Middle East, the three-day biennial exhibition has nearly 200 exhibitors from 30 countries. Germany, Italy and China have put up country pavilions at the exhibition which is expected to attract over 4,000 industry professionals from 75 countries. The exhibition has emerged as a must-attend event for networking, building professional relationships, identifying investment opportunities and getting acquainted with the latest technologies and best practices from around the world.
