Deira City Centre has already experienced a 10 to 15 per cent rise in total store sales this DSF compared to previous years, as a sure sign of the success of DSF 2004 .
 
Deira City Centre General Manager, Mr Rashid Zakaria Doleh said that such an increase at Dubai’s premier shopping hub was a sign that the Dubai Shopping Festival was showing strong signs of a record year in terms of popularity and generation of retail spend.

In addition, Deira City Centre has been overwhelmed with its response to its core World Famous Sale mega raffle, offering a grand prize win of 500,000 Dirhams.
 
Mr Doleh said:"The increased retail activity at Deira City Centre to date is a sure signal of the impact of DSF for both UAE residents and tourists. It is also a key indicator of the health of the economy reflected in retail spend this Festival. "
 
DCC has set a target of 20 per cent increase in visitor numbers during the total month. "DCC is well on track to achieving and possibly even exceeding this target for this year’s DSF period," he said.
 
Jackys, PlugIns, Carrefour, are among the Centre’s stores which have witnessed increases in sales particularly in electrical goods and mobile phones.
 
Deira City Centre is offering up to 75 per cent off products in many of its leading stores.
 
"These major savings, coupled with a great line-up of entertainment mean that Deira City Centre will continue on its tradition as the very core of this great festival which brings families and friends together through the fun and festivities of shopping."
