In line with the green initiative of Abu Dhabi and the national push to consume and produce locally, Deerfields Town Square Shopping Centre continues to provide a venue for local farmers to sell their produce and for the community to buy fresh, locally grown products. The Farmers' Market is open every Saturday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Deerfields Garden Area in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Farmers Centre, Local Harvest and PoshPaws Animal Sanctuary and Petting Farm. "Currently, some of our local farmers retail their products on our Local Harvest website," says Jean Philippe Georges, Merchandise manager, Deerfields Town Square Shopping Centre; however the Deerfields Farmers' Market gives more of our members an opportunity to reach a wider audience directly, while encouraging healthier habits in the community, and for that we are very grateful. It also allows our farmers to teach adults and interested children the age old basics of planting and recycling, which is something you don't find at other malls." Being a community mall, Deerfields promotes local and organic produce as a healthy choice of life and encourage brands with similar thinking to take part.

The Farmers Market offers fresh fruit, vegetables, livestock and honey. The PoshPaws Petting Zoo runs alongside the Farmers' Market, where children can interact with the animals and learn about proper pet care for a small entry fee of AED 10.
