Six companies win exciting prizes for routing business registration through Emirates Post
Dubai, March 27, 2005: Six lucky investors who routed their business registration processes through Emirates Post are now the lucky winners of exciting prizes in the first draw of a massive promotion campaign launched jointly by the Department of Economic Development (DED) and Emirates Post.
Launched earlier this month, the 11-week campaign seeks to encourage business owners and investors to conduct trade licence registration procedures through Emirates Post outlets across Dubai (24 offices). The campaign has received a tremendous response from investors, with Emirates Post offices receiving 912 applications related to business registration procedures in the first fortnight. In the same period, about 622 transactions were completed and payments received at Emirates Post offices.
The names of six winning organisations were picked through an electronic draw conducted at Emirates Post Head office in Dubai in the presence of officials from the DED. They include Golden Oasis Trading (trade licence number 245330) and Intermarket Trading LLC (trade licence number 51061), both of which will receive a Nokia Communicator. Leader Aquarium (trade licence number 129745) and Al Najat Shipping and Freight Services LLC (trade licence number 529328) will each receive an i-mate pocket PC, while Sultan AL Sharq Real Estate Broker (trade licence number 566591) and A&K Lubricants and Grease (trade licence number 555805) will each receive a laptop.
Commenting on the success of the promotion, Mr. Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director General, Executive Affairs, DED said: "We are delighted with the success of this promotion. We hope this will go a long way towards offering greater value added services to our clients and thereby fulfilling one of the strategic objectives of the Department of Economic Development (DED). We would like to thank all those who have participated in this promotion and would like to encourage our new and existing clients to make use of the services offered at Emirates Post."
Since the promotion began on March 5, 2005, a total of 1,534 actual transactions related to business registration procedures have been completed through Emirates Post.
"We have witnessed a good response to this joint campaign with DED and hope to build on this success over the next few weeks," said Mr. Abdulla Al Daboos, Director General, Emirates Post. "We are offering investors several chances to win prizes both at the time of purchasing the envelope to apply for a trade licence and at the time of actually receiving the processed licence," he added.
The campaign will continue until May 31, 2005, with five more raffle draws expected to take place. Dubai-based investors routing applications for processing, amending or canceling trade licences through Emirates Post offices are eligible to win instant prizes and in raffle draws.
Names of investors and business owners, who buy the DED trade licence registration envelops at Emirates Post Offices during this period, will be automatically entered into a raffle draw. Each draw will have six prizes, in addition to the instant prizes that investors receive while availing the business registration services through Emirates Post. In all, more than 1200 large and instant prizes will be given to investors routing their applications through Emirates Post offices during this period.
