First internationally branded pakistani business, financial & economic news and information television channel to begin broadcasting early 2005
"CNBC Pakistan will launch in the first quarter of 2005", announced H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Chairman, CNBC Pakistan. His Excellency was quoted today following a meeting in Abu Dhabi with Mr. Zafar Siddiqi, President, CNBC Pakistan. "We are very proud", His Excellency added, "to be associated as a shareholder with the world's most respected and recognized brand name in financial reporting."
Broadcasting from state of the art studios and production facilities in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore, CNBC Pakistan will transmit live programming in both Urdu and in English from a Pakistani perspective, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. "CNBC Pakistan will be a notable addition to the Pakistani media landscape", remarked Mr. Siddiqi, "and will utilize the global resources of the CNBC network to deliver a continous flow of relevant, engaging news and information from all of the Pakistani markets and from business centers around the world." "CNBC Pakistan will broadcast according to the highest international newsgathering and reporting standards", Mr. Siddiqi continued, "and we have also made a large investment in the Human Resources area to bring the best and most talented Pakistani's to the channel, and to provide media training for Pakistani's interested in pursuing a career in the media sector."
