CAF Signalling wishes to intensify its presence in the Middle East, a prioritised area as part of its international expansion plan due to the numerous railway projects planned in the region over the coming decade.
For this reason, the Company is participating in the "Middle East Rail 2014" Trade Fair and Congress, held in Dubai (Saudi Arabia), on the 4th and 5th of February.
This is the largest professional encounter held in the field of railway technology in the Middle East, and in which investment plans, as they concern one of the regions in the world keenest to back this mode of transport, will be high on the agenda. An opportunity for companies such as CAF Signalling to show their willingness to provide their experience in sectors of special relevance such as railway signalling.
Middle East: The gateway to new emerging markets
CAF Signalling has arrived at Middle East Rail 2014 with a wide range of products and services, using state-of-the-art technology and their own designs, already implemented successfully in signalling and control projects for high-speed and conventional rail lines, as well as metropolitan railway networks, tramways and freight rail networks both on a national as well as an international scale.
Amongst these, worthy of special mention are three modern solutions for electronic interlocking signalling systems, ERTMS and integrated control systems: NAOS, AURIGA and QUASAR S4e.
Middle East: Railway contracts worth more than 200 billion Euros
With a forecast investment over the next ten years of 200 billion Euros in passenger and freight railway projects. The Middle East represents an opportunity for the international Project of specialist companies working in the different fields within the sector, operating with the very latest technology in elements such as signalling and control systems.
Within this framework of fostering railway networks in the Middle East, CAF Signalling has expressed its interest in participating in the development and implantation of new and modern connections that will be undertaken in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman or Saudi Arabia, as well as other points of interest.
The Company wishes to intensify its presence in the region and expand its area of international activity. CAF Signalling has a subsidiary company in Turkey named CAF Sinyalizasyon, with which it has taken part in the deployment of its modern transport network with numerous applications, such as, for example, the Antalya light-rail network. Furthermore, it has set up the first line with modern signalling in Egypt, where electronic interlocking systems have been fitted with the highest safety standards.
Other countries such as Bulgaria, Morocco, Chile, Brazil and India have also selected the technology provided by CAF Signalling to modernise their transport networks and install innovative solutions for aspect involving signalling, traffic management and control systems.
