BravoSolution Tejari partners with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for annual industry conference
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 18 April 2017
Strategic procurement company BravoSolution Tejari has partnered once again with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for the annual CIPS Middle East Conference 2017. The event, will take place on 9 May in Abu Dhabi under the theme ‘procurement and supply: unlocking competitive advantage.’
CIPS exists to promote and develop high standards of professional skill, ability and integrity among all those engaged in purchasing and supply chain management. As a premier sponsor of the event, BravoSolution Tejari continues to have a strong affiliation with CIPS, building on their exclusive knowledge partnership agreement to be CIPS’ leader on sourcing and procurement technology.
This partnership offers CIPS members access to a dedicated BravoSolution Tejari resource hub with case studies and best practice guides on how best to leverage eSourcing and eProcurement technologies to meet everyday business challenges, and to transform conventional procurement into a strategic function.
The event comes as regional governments have moved towards developing a knowledge-based economy whilst improving capabilities and skills as part of their country visions and development plans. The aim is to diversify the economy so that the region is not oil dependent.
This presents an opportunity for companies to invest in strategic procurement solutions to bring down costs and drive growth, says Dan Quinn, Senior Vice President at BravoSolution MENA / Tejari.
“Even a slight reduction in spend which can be achieved through procurement excellence can positively impact the bottom line and ultimately support the region’s economy,” said Mr. Quinn.
“Our collaboration with CIPS is of great importance to us as we continue to support Middle East companies in driving growth through strategic savings in the region. We are delighted to be in partnership with CIPS for the third year running to collaboratively share valuable industry knowledge that helps empower businesses here.”
Sam Achampong FCIPS, Regional Director, CIPS Middle East & North Africa, added: “This conference helps to inspire and motivate businesses in the region by showcasing innovation and creativity. Partnering with BravoSolution Tejari enables us to add another important dimension to the event through the organization’s valuable and specialist industry knowledge.”
Other participants at the event include Jason Brown, Head of Group Procurement and Commercial Management, National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), Abdullah Al-Osaimi FCIPS, General Manager, Global Projects Procurement, SABIC and Ali Al Hammadi MCIPS, Supply Chain Manager, Petroleum Institute, ADNOC Group. Lord Francis Maude, former UK Cabinet Office Minister will also address conference delegates on how procurement reforms saved the UK government in excess of £20 billion.
BravoSolution Tejari continues to support the region in meeting its diversification ambitions. It recently unveiled the latest version of its industry-leading, value-generating, strategic procurement platform, BravoAdvantageTM 17. The launch of BravoAdvantage 17 comes after Gartner, Inc. positioned BravoSolution as a leader in its 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Strategic Sourcing Application Suites for the fourth year in a row.
