Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, the luxury brand's first resort in Qatar, developed by Al Rayyan Hospitality, has been awarded the prestigious Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System (HACCP) certification in Qatar,  reaffirming the resort's commitment to operating in line with the top health and hygiene regulation for hospitality services.

HACCP is a recommended control system for the hygiene of food products. It is a preventive food safety management system that monitors every step in the manufacture, storage and distribution of a food product, and is analyzed for microbiological, physical and chemical hazards. The certification is highly regarded within the hotel and food industry and is recognized by SGS, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and Certification Company.

The certificate was presented to Mr. Thomas Fehlbier, General Manager of Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in the presence of FSMS Committee team (Food Safety Management System committee) an event held recently at the Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara. The event was also attended by the resort's senior delegates as well as representatives from the international certification body.

Before setting out to achieve HACCP certification, the resort has set its own benchmark in the hospitality industry with the implementation of the resort's food safety and management system that provides consistent quality service. In order to receive the HACCP certification, Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara has been constantly strict on food safety management.
