DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (18 January 2011) - On 19th January 2011, The Atlantis Dive Centre will celebrate its first birthday in style marked by a year of excellent and outstanding achievements. To celebrate this milestone, the Dive Centre has planned a special dive trip on 21 January 2011 to Lion City and Jasim wrecks offering free Nitrox EANX (Enriched air Nitrox) to all certified EANX divers
Jason Sockett, Dive Centre General Manager, said: "Having been involved with the Atlantis Dive Centre from the very beginning this has been a very exciting and rewarding year and I fully expect 2011 to be even better. Our facilities and instructors are second to none and this was evident when we achieved a 100% success rate through our PADI Instructors courses throughout the year."
"We will in 2011 run a wonderful Eco trip to South Africa where we will be taking divers to dive in the Sardine run with African Space organization." He continued. "We are also starting an underwater photography club, which will allow participants to learn the fundamentals of underwater photography and the chance to see some of the best dive sites around the region."
In November 2010, The Atlantis Dive Centre announced a new partnership with Marine Concepts to become the first International Yacht Training Centre in the UAE to offer guests additional courses as well as luxury boat cruises For those who have never completed a course or never driven a boat, the first course is the International Yacht Training Small Power Boat and RIB Master. This course introduces guests to the basics of small power boats, rules of the road, engine checks, maintenance and boat handling skills. Another option is the International Yacht Training Bareboat Skipper Certificate; this course certifies guests to take command of yachts up to 65 feet in coastal water up to a distance of 20 miles offshore. The course involves theoretical and practical skills, including plotting charts. Atlantis Dive Centre also offers IYT VHF Operator courses and EIMA-STCW95 Basic Safety Training The final course available is the International Yacht Training Master of Yacht Coastal (MCA Approved). This course is ideal for those who want to expand their knowledge and experience and increase their confidence in commanding a yacht. This is a 5 day live aboard course preparing guests to skipper motor yachts up to 24 metres. All courses are monthly.
In October 2010. The Atlantis, Dive Centre signed a partnership with Scuba Dubai, enabling guests to enjoy diving using the best equipment in the market right now .The Atlantis Dive Centre offers guests a full range of dive equipment with a knowledgeable and experienced team providing guests with a safe, fun and adventurous experience.
Guests can have the opportunity to be taught by Paul Cunningham, a well respected and very experienced diver among the dive community and has achieved Platinum Course Director status the only platinum course in the UAE, with an amazing success rate with his Instructor development program of 100% pass rate in the PADI Instructor Examinations
The Atlantis Dive Centre has also recently converted its facilities to become more accessible for disabled divers providing maximum assistance, safety and enjoyment.
