KPMG Fakhro announces the inauguration of the new EDSA offices
As part of Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Support Programme, KPMG Fakhro inaugurated the new Enterprise Development Support Agency offices, located in Meral building in the Seef District.
KPMG Fakhro will be the Project Manager of the third and fourth year of the EDS programme, and will be in charge of the implementation of the Programme, running the day-to-day business and operational activities of the programme as well as providing services for Bahraini enterprises who submit applications to benefit from the various schemes. As part of Tamkeen's Enterprise Growth Management Strategy, the Enterprise Development Support Programme offers support for Bahraini enterprises in line with the Bahrain's economic development.
The new Enterprise Development Support Programme website was also launched (www.tamkeen.bh/edsa), and offers information on the available services, facilitates the application process, and allows applicants to follow up on the status of their applications.
The bi-lingual website will also offer general information about Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Support Programme and its schemes, allowing Bahraini businesses and entrepreneurs to apply to Tamkeen's schemes. The website, which will be updated daily, will also act as a tracking tool for applicants to monitor the status of their applications.
Commenting on the opening, Tamkeen's Chief Executive, Abdulellah Al-Qassimi said: "Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Support Programme is specifically designed to facilitate the growth of the private sector in Bahrain by providing the necessary support for entrepreneurs who are looking to improve the productivity and efficiency of their businesses. This comprehensive programme works on many levels to put enterprises on the fast track towards success by assisting companies in upgrading their technical facilities, verifying their business processes following the provision of specialised consultancy services, designing business plans, executing certified quality processes, and providing support in terms of obtaining international consultancy when needed."

The new website will provide information about the Enterprise Development Support Programme, the requirements for joining the programme, and all needed documentation for applications. Applicants can submit their applications either through the website or by visiting the new Enterprise Development Support Agency offices in the Meral building, Seef District, during regular working hours which is from 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, Sunday to Thursday.
The third and fourth years of Tamkeen Enterprise Development Support Programme will accommodate an additional 1000 enterprises, this is in addition to the enterprises that participated in the first two years of the Programme which was run in partnership with Talal Abu Ghazaleh, who is tasked with managing and monitoring the first batch of benefiting enterprises for the next two years.
