Abu Dhabi: H.E Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, said in his speech on the occasion of the UAE Flag Day, that our flag is a representation and distinction of glory, loyalty and sacrifices all around the world.

Al Khaili affirmed, on this occasion, our sincere pride and love is renewed to the achievements made including raising the Emirati flag into space, in addition to the many continuous achievements since 1971 to this day which is a testament that the UAE is on the path to success. Positive developmental changes are witnessed in building the country, it’s people and community to ensure a dignified and quality life for all citizens and residents living on this land.

H.E pointed out, that the UAE flag symbolizes the pride and success that everyone witnesses, owing this to our late founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

H.E Dr. Mugheer added, “We celebrate this day to renew our vows of loyalty to the wise leadership led by H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the members of the Supreme Council of the Union, rulers of the Emirates, crown princes and deputy rulers.

About the Department of Community Development: The Department of Community Development (DCD) was established in 2018 to oversee, empower and regulate the social and community development sector in Abu Dhabi and provide services that are of quality, effective and accessible to everyone. The DCD’s priority is to build awareness and knowledge around social issues pertinent to Abu Dhabi and relevant to its people.
