The Elevator Division of Al-Futtaim Engineering, a member of the Al-Futtaim Group's Electronics & Engineering Division, recently participated in 'The Middle East Elevator and Escalator Show' and held seminars in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha, Qatar, to consolidate its position of leadership in the UAE and Qatar.
The Middle East Elevator and Escalator Show, which was held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, gave Al-Futtaim Engineering the opportunity to introduce the Elevator Division's three partners: Hitachi, Liftmaterial and Alpha Elevators to consultants, architects, building owners, developers and major contractors.
Al-Futtaim Engineering has been associated with Hitachi for some thirty years but has only recently commenced operations with Liftmaterial and Alpha. Liftmaterial is responsible for outstanding elevator installations such as at the Yacht Hotel in Finland, the showroom of Mercedes Benz in Jakarta and a multitude of high-rise buildings in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and Tunisia. Alpha is famous worldwide for its unusually shaped glass elevators and was responsible for China's Bailong lift, the world's highest free-moving elevator.
The exhibition brought together the latest innovations for elevators and escalators from Hitachi, Liftmaterial and Alpha, such as automation and control, replacements and spare parts as well as the latest construction equipment technology.

Al-Futtaim Engineering's Elevator Division is one of five divisions under the company's wing with dedicated sales, installation and maintenance teams in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. ISO 9000-2000 certified, the Elevator Division prides itself on round the clock service and comprehensive as well as preventive maintenance.
Since its first elevator installation in 1976, Al-Futtaim Engineering's Elevator Division has become known for reliability, having concluded installations for some of the most prestigious projects in the UAE such as Sharjah Mega Mall, Dubai Internet City and many of the high-rise buildings which are now part of Dubai's skyline. In Qatar, the Elevator Division has installed elevators for major projects such as the University of Qatar and the Four Seasons hotel.
Facing fierce competition from other industry players in the construction sector, Al-Futtaim Engineering's Elevator Division has been chosen to provide installations for Dubai Festival City, Dubai's prestigious city-within-a-city project, as well as many of the high-rise residential and office blocks springing up in Dubai.
