The Arab Knowledge and Management Society scooped up the award for 'Best Website Design' in Jordan in the Professional Societies and Associations category

AMMAN: The Arab Knowledge and Management Society (AKMS) http://www.akms.org , a nonprofit organization, scooped up the golden award for the 'Best Website Design' in Jordan in the Professional Societies and Associations category.

The Society was granted the award for its website during the annual Jordan Web Awards Competition organized by Media Scope on January 24, 2009 at the Grand Hyatt Amman Hotel.

AKMS Manager Hanan Hidmi said:  "We are really happy and proud to win this award which shows that we are moving in the right direction and people are satisfied with our electronic services."

"We would like to thank Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, president of the AKMS for his guidance and the team of developers and designers at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization for their creativity and effort in making this possible," she added.

Meanwhile, Ihab Abu Hilal, web development manager said, "We utilize our best efforts and expertise in developing the most creative and user-friendly websites for our clients - similar to the standards we implement on our website - providing them with high quality services in web development, website design and audit, search engine optimization and more." 

Media Scope launched Jordan Web Awards Competition to recognize excellence in web design and development skills and is open to all designers or developers, giving them an opportunity to display their work and talent.

A total of 150 websites competed in the event in which Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization's (TAG-Org) website won second place in the Corporate category.

The Award covers 27 categories in various sectors that include banks and financial institutions, e-commerce, education, fashion and clothing, governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, health services, industrial sector, media and press, personal websites, travel and tourism, transportation and real estate among many others.

AKMS will represent the Kingdom at the Pan Arab Web Awards 2009 that will be held at Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai next April. The competition will include participants from Arab countries such as Lebanon, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.
