Ajman: Under the direction of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman and with the wise counsel of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, Ajman Sewerage (ASPCL) has commenced the construction of the third phase of its foul drainage and wastewater collection project at the Humaideya Sector 1.

The new pipeline, which is part of ASPCL’s long-term network expansion master plan, will see over 60 kilometres of pipeline added to its expansive system, which will serve both residential and commercial customers in the area.

The 55 million dirham network expansion project, which will serve 2,500 properties comes against the backdrop of a steadily rising population, which recorded a 1.85 percent increase in 2019.

This, according to ASPCL, has also contributed to the growth of mixed-use properties in the emirate that need to be connected to the national sewerage grid.

“The Ajman Sewerage System Humaideya 1 project is timely as it comes when the region is transitioning to a new normal that might eventually lead to a surge in demand for connection. This network expansion project will, therefore, ensure that we have the adequate capacity not just to serve every customer but to offer reliable and steady service.” said H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman of Ajman Sewerage.

The mega-project will include the laying of a complex drainage and wastewater collection network that will connect to Jurf 2 commercial network and provide sewerage services to residential and commercial properties in the area. The network will also include over 525 manholes.

The new foul drainage and collect wastewater network is expected to be completed by Q1 of 2022.
