With a built up area of 9,000 square metres, Fit Republik Sports Academy and Members Club in Dubai, due to open its doors in September this year, will be the largest sports facility of its kind in Dubai. Aedas Interiors made use of recycled and raw materials to reflect the sports activities of the venue.
Exposed concrete, weathered steel and reclaimed timber are used to create a slick yet industrial looking interior, with the incorporation of large scale bespoke light features, oversized art installations, yoga mat wall features, graffiti walls, shipping crate offices and upcycled furniture to complement the industrial aesthetic.
The club will offer a wide range of exclusive Olympic standard sports facilities to its members in Dubai, including 12 weightlifting stations, an indoor gymnastics area and foam pits, and a commercial indoor swimming pool. Other provisions include an elite zone for professional athletes, bouldering walls, cardio and spinning areas, a fully enabled identification and check-in facility, spa services, dietician and wellness services, food and beverage outlets, lounges and recreational areas. It will be the only club in the region to provide all these advanced sports facilities under one roof.
To ensure both functional and aesthetic success, Aedas Interiors consulted professional trainers from multiple sports disciplines to achieve the highest quality of sports provision.
