Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi Airports Company PJSC (ADAC) has announced, today, taking part in the Emirati Genome Program (EGP). ADAC’s participation in this historic project reflects its continuous support of national efforts to lay the foundation for a fully-integrated healthcare system, as per the best international practices.
Under the guidance of UAE’s leadership, and under the supervision of the UAE Genomics Council, supported by all relevant stakeholder, ADAC is keen to play its part in this important national project, which aims to enhance the provision of healthcare services for UAE nationals and strengthen the country’s position as a hub for innovation and research in the genomics.
Shareef Al Hashimi, Chief Executive Officer of ADAC, said: “Strengthening national healthcare capabilities for future generations is incumbent on us all. We strongly encourage UAE nationals, especially our employees, to participate in this significant study to help build an Emirati genomic map that can support the prediction, prevention, and treatment of rare and genetic diseases.”
ADAC will create a dedicated centre with its facilities to enable national employees and their families to easily participate in the EGP.
