Zawawi Trading Company (ZTC), the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Oman have once again partnered with Al Najid Transport, Trading and Contracting LLC. Through this partnership, ZTC has sold a fleet of 24 Mercedes-Benz Actros 3340 S 33 (6X4) model year 2011 prime movers to Al Najid Transport.
Mr. Craig Hardie, CEO - Automotive Division, ZTC, Mr. Gopalan Uppiliappan, GM - Business Support, Strategy and Projects, and Mr. Sashi Menon, Assistant Manager - Commercial Vehicles handed over the keys to Ms. Gheitha Al Mahrouki, Owner of Al Najid Transport.
With the delivery of this consignment Mercedes-Benz now enjoys a share of more than 95% of the current fleet of Al Najid Transport. All the prime mover units are with Air Suspension which is a mandatory requirement of Shell specifications.

In the same test, the Actros came 2nd in operating cost accounting, and proved to have a zero downtime in three years and all this while doing 400,984 kilometers."
