Cairo –  The Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima) announced a failure in a carbon dioxide (CO2) compressor at its urea plant.

The compressor is currently being examined to be repaired in coordination with Japan’s Hitachi, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Sunday.

During fiscal year 2019/2020, Kima incurred net losses of EGP 1.5 billion, against net profits of EGP 32.33 million a year earlier.
