Riyadh - Saudi Arabia's Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif has launched a number of new electronic services for citizens as well as residents aimed at facilitating processes for obtaining visas and passports.
In an announcement on social media platforms, the Saudi General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) said that the new services have been codenamed the Abshar Individuals, Abshar Business and the Expatriate.
The latest services allow expatriates to electronically renew their residency permits, extend exit-and-return visas from outside the Kingdom and issue final exit visas during a trial work period.
The services also allow Saudi citizens to issue and renewing passports for minors aged 15 years or below.
The services also enable citizens and expatriates to communicate with the Jawazat to avail of specific services without having to go to its offices in person.
