JEDDAH: Saudi citizens were on Friday warned against travelling to Uganda amid a rise in the number of cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the east African nation.
The Saudi Embassy in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, said the health crisis in the country had worsened and advised people from the Kingdom not to visit for the time being.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia on Friday reported 18 more COVID-19-related deaths, taking the overall toll to 7,537. There were 1,175 new cases, meaning that 463,703 people had now contracted the disease. A total of 10,112 cases remained active, of which 1,559 patients were in critical condition.
