Muscat The Ministry of Information officially launched the Ayn platform, considered the largest Omani audiovisual content outlet, on Tuesday.

The platform presents Omans civilisation through its history, present and future to broaden the prospects and influence of the medias message.

A statement was issued on the occasion by Dr Abdullah Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, in which he said that the launch of Ayn coincides with the celebrations of the January 11 anniversary, marking the day of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariks accession to the throne.

Dr Harrasi affirmed that Ayn will help keep pace with the digital transformation within the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

The Ayn platform represents a complete shift in the field of modern electronic media services. It enhances Omani presence in various electronic mediums. It also sheds light on national achievements. Through its website and smart device applications, Ayn offers a unique experience, which is fun and easy to use.

Ayns library contains a huge collection of audiovisual content produced by Oman Radio and Oman Television over many decades.

The ministry has invited all to use the platform by downloading the Ayn app in their smart devices or through the website and give feedback that will contribute to developing and enhancing the provided services.
