KUWAIT CITY: Assistant Undersecretary for National Medical Services at the Ministry of Health Dr Fatima Al-Najjar announced a reduction in the maximum price limit for PCR tests in the private medical laboratories that are accredited by the Ministry of Health to conduct COVID-19 tests.

In a press statement, she explained that the price of a PCR test does not exceed KD 20, as approved by the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah based on the decision No. 3/2021 of the Health Licensing Committee in line with the review of the PCR test prices regionally and globally.

In the same context, head of the mobile field vaccination campaign team and Director of the Primary Health Care Department Dr Dina Al-Dhabib revealed the upcoming launch of the third phase of the mobile field campaign for vaccinating workers at airports and factories that have direct contact with the public.

On the sidelines of the conclusion of the second phase of the mobile field campaign in the Boulevard Complex, Dr Al-Dhabib revealed that the second phase included vaccinating about 35,000 to 36,000 employees of both genders working in 21 commercial complexes in Kuwait.

She highlighted the distribution of ten mobile units to eight commercial complexes including Boulevard, Symphony, Al-Muhallab, Laila Gallery, Al-Fanar, Fish Market, Al-Awtad Complex and Jahra Mall to vaccinate about 8,000 male and female employees.
