Doha: KidZania, the award-winning edutainment concept, is set to be launched in the first quarter of 2018 in Doha.

The launch will feature a Boeing 737-500 aircraft, perfectly complementing the aviation section at KidZania, which will be the longest aircraft of all KidZanias in the region.

KidZania is one of the fastest growing children’s interactive entertainment brand in the world. It is an educational and engaging city built for kids, combining inspiration, fun and learning through realistic role-play for children between the ages of 4-14 years.

Each ultra-realistic experience is designed to empower kids, giving them the confidence to be their best selves, and inspiration to be great global citizens. KidZania is one of the most inventive kids’ edutainment concepts in the world, with 24 locations in 19 countries and rapidly growing globally.'

KidZania will be located in a strategic and prime area in the heart of the Aspire Zone. It will provide a unique educational and entertainment experience. The edutainment facility offers children the opportunity to play ‘adult jobs’ in up to 60 pretend roles including being a doctor, dentist, engineer and pilot.

KidZania is designed to replicate a city that is built for children, complete with buildings, streets, vehicles and a functioning economy.

The ultra-realistic experience is designed to empower children through each activity and learn a variety of things including how society functions, how to finance, how to work with a team, take on a profession and how to be independent, which are all real life skills.

Talking to The Peninsula, Sheikh Nasser bin AbdulRahman Al Thani, Board Member, Qatar Entertainment (TASALI), said: “Children of age four to fourteen get basic knowledge and not go into practice. This is a platform for children to learn with life experiences."

“It is a unique laboratory designed for kids to experience all types of fields. By keeping knowledge of what and how things are made, kids will be able to make a wise choice in their future life,” he noted.

“We will provide a play area for the children aged below four years. We will provide children a safe environment to enjoy and grow at the same time. We will educate them about the basic life experiences and skills that they are unaware of, especially education that they don’t get at school,” said Ric Fearnett, Governor at KidZania Doha.

“Children have to work as a team using their skills in various engaging activities at KidZania. We will have these activities for kids and their families on holidays and timings will be after school. During the school days we will be working for the schools very closely to bring children for a field trip. In this way children and teachers will learn certain skills together,” he added.

KidZania will offer the highest level of commitment and participation for the enhancement of the local community. Its edutainment concept aligns perfectly with the Qatar National Vision 2030 of building a sustainable, prosperous society which is just, caring and based on high moral standards.

KidZania is the world’s fastest growing family entertainment brand, with KidZania Doha expecting to welcome over 300,000 visitor year-on-years. The establishment will be able to accommodate up to 1,000 children with approximately 250 employees at the same time.
