AMMAN — Jordan on Saturday approved the revised Convention on the Recognition of Studies, Diplomas and Degrees in Higher Education in the Arab and European States Bordering on the Mediterranean.

Representing Jordan, during a Paris-held ceremony, Secretary General of the Higher Education Ministry Mamoun Dabei signed the convention prepared by UNESCO to strengthen international cooperation in higher education and ease recognition of qualifications, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

This is the fifth UNESCO regional recognition convention to be revised to take into account the unprecedented transformations in higher education systems, in policies and particularly in international cooperation and student mobility, the UN agency said on its website.
