AMMAN - Jordan Motorsport has unveiled its calendar for the rest of 2020, announcing that the strictest safety precautions will be put into place for all events, according to the Jordan Motorsport Media Service.

With the COVID-19 pandemic stopping all sporting activity worldwide since mid-March, the national body for motorsport in the Kingdom has worked with the relevant government authorities to ensure that the new calendar can be put into place consisting of 12 events.

The season will restart on July 17 with round one of the National Speed Test Championship, with two further rounds taking place on October 16 and November 13. There will be two rounds of the Jordan Drifting Championship held on July 24 and September 4, while rounds two and three of the National Rally Championship will be held on August 21 and October 30.

Karting’s national championship will be held over three rounds on August 7, September 11 and October 9, while a second round of the 4x4 series will go ahead on October 2. The Rumman Hill Climb is scheduled for August 14.

One noticeable omission from the calendar though is the Jordan Rally, which was due to be held from September 24-26, but has been cancelled due to the issues and uncertainty surrounding international events at the current time.
