Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has issued a Royal Decree that grants 19 expats Omani citizenship.

Article 1 of the decree states that Omani nationality shall be granted to any person listed in the attached list.

Article 2 states that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force from the date of its publication.

The list included 19 names of people who were granted Omani nationality.

In 2018, 37 expats had been granted Omani citizenship in addition to giving six Yemenis dual nationality — where they can combine Omani and Yemeni nationalities. The Royal Decree also restored the Omani nationality of 41 people.
