The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) is mulling over joint cooperation with the European Union (EU) in building institutional abilities and exchanging technical expertise, the EDA stated in a statement on February 23rd.

This came during a meeting between Chairman of Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Tamer Essam and Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt Christian Berger.

The meeting also tackled the authority’s efforts in facilitating the registration and trade of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.

The meeting comes in light of the ongoing discussions by the EDA with international bodies and institutions to create partnerships that support the upgrading of the regulatory level in the drug sector.
