Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Sunday issued a circular directing all ministries, government departments and institutions to fully adhere to the provisions of Article 43 of the 2022 Investment Environment Law No. 21, which governs the registration and licensing of economic activity, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. According to Article 43, licensing authorities would fulfil their tasks and duties in accordance with the Investment Environment Law’s provisions, within six months following the law’s entering into force.

The circular also stipulated that the relevant authorities complete transactions related to comprehensive investment services within a period not exceeding 15 working days after receiving applications which comply with all requirements, adding that if authorities fail to provide a response within the designated period, applications are automatically approved.
